There were 32 students (27%) who received 30-plus college credits as they headed into their first year of college. We have been notified several parents received some odd "test" notifications from the PowerSchool app this morning. We reached out to PowerSchool, and they told us their "Mobile App Team was conducting tests for the new mobile app's notification system, and unfortunately, this inadvertently triggered a test notification". If you received the notificaiton, you can ignore it.

Salem High School's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for Saturday is going to be cancelled due to lack of participation. Sign up forms and money will be returned to those that sent in their forms to Bradie Shrum Elementary. A google form will be sent out to see if there is any interest in the Santa Breakfast during December.

The Mobile Dentist, an in-school dental provider, is coming to Salem Community Schools in December. They will be at Bradie Shrum Elementary on Dec. 4th and at SMS and SHS on Dec. 5th. Forms are currently being distributed to all students. Ask your child about it. Parents may also sign their kids up online at www.MySchoolDentist.com. There is an elearning day tomorrow. Please encourage your student to check their Chromebooks for assignments, which will be posted by 9 a.m.

Donations will be taken for the Gerlach family during tomorrow night's home game against West Washington. We encourage all fans to support this family in any way they can.

Salem Community Schools participated in the Shake Out drill this morning, teaching the students the proper way to protect themselves in the case of an earthquake.

The Salem High School Disney Club is hosting the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for kids in grades K-5. The event will be held at SHS from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 26. The cost is $20 for the first child, $15 for the second, and $10 for three or more children from the same family. See the flyer for more information! This is a fundraiser for the SHS Disney Club.

Reminder: Parent Teacher Conferences are this week: Thursday and Friday. Students will have elearning Friday and will NOT be in person.
