SCS Families,
Out of an abundance of caution per local weather forecasts, Salem Community Schools will move to an E-Learning Day for Thursday January 6th. Teachers will post assignments by 9 am to Google Classroom or plans communicated individually. It is our hope that by making this decision tonight we are able to keep students, parents and staff safe. Thank you.
SCS will actively watch the forecast for a snow event over the next 24 hours. Due to timing, there is a potential for early dismissal or eLearning on Thursday. In the event of early dismissal we will try to make that call as early as possible. Any information will be released via our social media, local radio, and our school messenger system. We feel it is best to communicate to you our plans so that you can be prepared in the event of an early dismissal. If we need to switch to eLearning we will make that decision tomorrow morning.
Please check out the latest news from SCS in the SMORES newsletter.

This message is to remind everyone that school starts back tomorrow, January 4th. Please contact your building principal if you need to change any contact information or any address. Enjoy the rest of your day and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
