Good afternoon Salem Families! We wanted to let everyone know that Monday, February 21st, will be a virtual day. This is a make-up day for the snow/ice day we experienced on February 3rd. February 3rd would have been virtual that day, but SCS decided to cancel due to the threat of ice. SCS has to make up the day by state law. Since it would have been virtual the decision was made to make the make-up day as a virtual day too.

Good afternoon Salem Families! Due to some icing spots, Salem Community Schools will be on a 2 hour delay on Monday, February 7. The added time will help drivers see if there are icy patches. If a driver cannot get to your student in the morning, please notify the school.

Tomorrow's JV/V Boys basketball game vs. Seymour is cancelled.

Tonight's Girls Sectional is postponed until tomorrow. The Lady Lions will play at 5:00 (2/5). The second game of the night will be 7:00. Championship will be played Tuesday (2/8).

The Safe Room at Bradie Shrum Elementary will be open in the event the city or county needs the area open for public safety. The opening of the room will be coordinated with the Washington County Emergency Management, the Washington County Sheriff, and/or the Salem City Police Department.

Tomorrow night's Boys JV/V game at Silver Creek has been cancelled. The makeup date is 2/22/22. If you already purchased online tickets those will carryover to the new date.

Tonight's middle school boys basketball game @ Mitchell has been cancelled. Tomorrow night's middle school wrestling match vs. Southwestern and Charlestown has been cancelled. Girls Swim Sectional scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until Friday night.

Good afternoon Salem Families! Due to the impending snow/ice storm, SCS will be closed Thursday and Friday. Thursday will be a snow day with the day being made up on February 21st (President's Day). Friday will be an eLearning day. Teachers should have assignments posted by 9 a.m. on Friday. All buildings will be closed these two days due to possible dangerous driving conditions. Please be careful and stay safe.
